synthetic oil for trans

When I had my dealership swap my transmission fluid to amsoil I had them do the transfer case as well since they were doing the trans anyways. Had them use the same amsoil f.e. ATF that I had them put in the trans.

Haynes, if there had been a way to compare the Motorcraft Transfer Case Fluid with Amsoil transmission fluid, I'd have done that too. For all we know the Motorcraft fluid is original Mercon, but they keep the specs close hold.
