It's the shelves (landing pads) that I disagree with. One of the techs, if I recall correctly, mentioned they could be interchanged from side-to-side, putting the shelves outboard. Till then, I just slow down when the bed is loaded.

and why cant you do that now? Am I wrong in thinking that if you took the left and shifted it straight to the right without flipping or rotating and visa versa the other side you accomplish just that? The pad would be on the outside and the pinion angle will still be correct... Just picking the brain here thats all... lol

kinda waiting for a "Customer Satisfaction Program". with the pads on the outside, maybe one of the companies selling bolt on rear frame kits could move the Fox air bump mounts higher. I'd probably buy that

That's a possibility. However the 2011 FX4 SCrew I checked did not have any shelves (landing pads) on the lift blocks.

I removed the blocks and there is too much uptravel. The shock becomes the bump. The frame has developed cracks on the weld. The shocks were both blown. Not a good idea. Just an FYI.

There we go. A enterprising member proved that the SVT engineers do know what they are doing.

Looks like we'll need to spend significantly more money to get even more off road performance.

Cheers!

Thanks for the heads-up. Looks like you do more than park ontop a pile of sand.

The Deavers/RPG combo seems a good match.

The welds/frame cracked at the top of the shock mount(s)? How'd ya fix that?

Yes the top mounts. They are REALLY small. I'm going to have my welding dude take a look at it and see what he thinks is best. I don't pretend to know anything about that kind of stuff.

Being that your in the 1% of people that probably has more off-road then on-road miles. I would suggest doing something custom or adding bracing to factory shock mount.

I'm about 90% sure that I'm getting a 2012. This is probably one of the only cars I would keep for a long time so why not get a new one and go balls to the wall!!!
