It looks to me like the firewall has had some work done, and I don't mean the kinda work that gets done with just a hammer.

On the 2wd kit we did not need to cut, as Kaiser mentioned the CV axels prevent changing geometry. This 4wd kit is running upgraded axels, we are working on a new solution for the iwe to help handle so much strain. We had to do minor cutting and rewelding to the firewall

The lowers are solid /center mounted
