GEN 2 Supercab SCAB sale opinion?

Gas mileage same. Capability same. MOST people- myself included- never look at their SCREW trucks & think “gee- this thing is too big, I really wish I had less space/smaller back seat”

I have a 1 year old & 5 year old & a 78 lb dobie- a SCAB would be cramped AF w/ the 2 car seats & all the other junk/kid gear I tote around. I would be way more cramped trying to get kids dressed/undressed/changing diapers etc in a SCAB- and I’m only 5’8”

I think you can make a case that the SCAB profile may “look better” or be more appealing in that regard, but that’s really just opinion- the bottom line is it’s a less useful vehicle overall due to the diminished cargo capacity & less roomy/comfy back seat for long trips.

so IMHO you’d be better served trying to sell privately I’m sure there are buyers out there specifically looking for a scab. I just like More size.....Bigger is usually better IMO, even if I were 15 years younger & single again, I’d still probably opt for a SCREW so I had more room for my buds & dog.

agreed! I have never once regretted y choice of a Super cab. There are more benefits than just looks for a scab in my opinion. I’ve driven several screws and the extra length is definitely noticeable. Also I’m 6’4” and I find the back seats of the scab are same legroom as a tacoma or mid size truck but with way more headroom and I’ve never had complaints of friends or family who had to ride in the back. I will admit the suicide doors aren’t what I’d call convenient haha.

Been there, done that. My '03 Dodge was a standard cab with an 8' bed. It was a palace for camping and great for hauling stuff, but I hated not having the ability to carry passengers. When I bought the Raptor, I'd have gotten a SCAB if it had had the 36 gallon tank. Now I'm really glad I got the SCREW. I can put the water and the coolers in the back seat along with a bunch of light gear on top, so there's a ton of cargo capacity for camping and I can still ride four other adults around when I need to. It's the best of both worlds.

agreed! I have never once regretted y choice of a Super cab. There are more benefits than just looks for a scab in my opinion. I’ve driven several screws and the extra length is definitely noticeable. Also I’m 6’4” and I find the back seats of the scab are same legroom as a tacoma or mid size truck but with way more headroom and I’ve never had complaints of friends or family who had to ride in the back. Then my brother passed away and I inherited a Silverado extended cab so I put the Raptor on hold and drove the Chevy a fair amount the last 2 years. I HATED having to open the front door to open a back door, and I found even with just 1 buddy and our guns/gear going to matches, I was wanting a little more room in the cab. Same thing when I took my dad and his new ******* wife out, I was wanting just a little more room. Now I find I love my screw.

Sometimes in the city I wish it was smaller, but I would get another crew cab if I had to replace it.

yeah I can see the appeal of both! I’ve had super crews trucks before and I just personally never needed huge rear seats, never reall liked the looks of 4 full doors and I’ve always preferred smaller chasis. But again obviously it’s all personal choice and any raptor is awesome! If I had kids I def would not be able to deal with the suicide doors!

Scabs are more practical for daily driving and are better offeoad.

I test drove 3 SCREWS before I bought my 10 Scab and haven't regretted it once.

Personal opinion of course, but I would only own a SCAB Raptor...otherwise may as well just buy a regular F150, probably a V8, and maybe do some mods.
