I don't think one is better than the other....ie. scab vs screw. It's all in what you want. I wouldn't have a screw if you gave it to me. I wanted a scab. It was hard to find. Mine has 802A package and everything I wanted. I had the graphics removed by the dealer before my purchase. I like that they are fewer of them out there. I didn't buy to resale.

I have a 12 scab and a soccer mom FX. Definitely easier to put stuff in the back seat, more room. But... Turning radius and a few other off road advantages of the shorter truck make it the only one if buy if getting another one.

I definitely liked the look of the scab way more for some reason when I was deciding between either the screw or scab. Pricing was about $1,500 difference also. It’s always just me and my miniature golden retriever riding around and my dog “hammock” seat cover for the rear fits perfectly or she hops into the front. I do wish the fuel tank was bigger but I think that’s probably the only con for me. I’ve used the truck as a daily while living in NYC and Atl and ran it in Moab and various trails which felt a lot more practical compared to the screws I’ve driven IMO. My Gen 1 Roush is a screw and I felt like I didn’t need that much room/ didn’t have anything in the back.

It’s a bit ‘customized’ so the appeal may be a bit lower. How many miles?

I paid 50 for a ‘17 SCAB 802a about a year ago so I’d expect similar if you’re in the 25k mile range but that’s all I know. Mine was stock. If I had to undo all those red accents, and wonder what else you may have modded, I would’ve been less enthusiastic but still, SCABs are hard to find. Unfortunately so are SCAB buyers.

I’m at about 60k miles but thankfully purchased the extra full coverage warranty until 120k miles. Luckily I was able to find this 802a plus all extra options at a dealer nearby. I know most people prefer the screw but was just curious on peoples opinions on the giant gap in resale.

I liked the Scab look more also, when I first started shopping for a Raptor.

I just got a scab. Buddy of mine came over and checked it out and he went out and got a scab too. Both new. I didn’t want/need the screw and wanted the shorter truck. Screws are great but if I wanted one of them I’d probably have waited for the refresh. Or the trx possibly. Meh always been a Ford guy. I will admit to being primarily concerned about range on the 26 gallon tank but I’m getting over 400 miles on a tank which suits me fine. I’m coming from a 2001 super duty diesel and I am loving this truck tons. Still have the diesel though.

I mean it looks.... fine. it’s just a little ... “length challenged”. I hate to hear a Raptor brother in such a conundrum though.

I’ll give you 500 bucks for it right now. Will come and pick it up too. ;)

"Length challenged"

translated to "Fits in the ******* garage"

love my 17 scab with basically every option

I also don't need 4 doors hardly ever, and sure don't like a big ass long truck.

There's plenty market out there for them.
