Don't make idle internet threats.

Let me get this straight.

So if the Ford dealership wrong's you. Then you will trade it in for another make's vehicle.

ok

but that is after you paid for the repair.

And we all know that will be less expensive than what you will lose during the trade in.

So instead of just saying that sucks, paying for it and moving forward. You are going to try and take it out on Ford by trading the vehicle in to another dealer and taking more of a financial hit during that process.

..........totally makes sense. Nothing like flushing your own money to try and make a point to someone else that doesn't care.

And no, the rather high trade in values won't save you after all the taxes, dealer fees, mods you have made, etc.

Interesting. but you do you bro.

Fy Yeah that is what was said! And why not? Who wants to support a piece of crap brand that is not loyal to their customers.
You?

I had a rock hit my sunroof on a 2017 SuperDuty while on a 2 lane highway. Shattered instantly. Not a fun experience.

On the sunroof tint topic, I have always been advised not to tint them for the reasons of increased heat due to the tint. Not sure if that is true or not, but that was from several reputable tint/wrap shops.

Good luck to the OP.

My tint installer recommended I only do 80% ceramic on my sun roofs to avoid issues. The ceramic really helps with the heat and at 80%, it is mostly clear.

I went full limo at 5% with the ceramic. I did a lot of research and realized I either was going to have no issues or it will shatter. I couldn’t find a definitive answer either way. It’s all opinion or a friend of a friend had an issue and it may have been the tint.

Had my sunroof explode earlier this year. Same thing - sounded like a shotgun. Truck had 5k miles on it - ford told me to pound sand. Since there is always deniability around foreign objects causing it, they deny the majority of these claims

Sunroof is dumb - wish I didn’t have mine. Shade always stays shut anyway. Too hot in Denver.

You?

Wow dude.

YOU bought the brand. you made the choice and spent the money.

only a ******* idiot would then take a bigger financial hit to try and spite them.

YOU ALREADY SPENT THE MONEY.

You don't "continue to support" because you still own the product. They already got the fee!!

The only person you hurt dumping what you now own and losing money is you!

Just like most of what is in the news.

FAKE

That bs about retaining heat more and shattering just because of tint has gotten so far
it's just basically accepted these days as fact.

No one knows, they just heard from someone.

How did you handle this? Through insurance?

When you thin about it..

Tint causing heat build up and shattering makes no sense. The visor under the glass is black, that’s holding a lot of heat as well but no risk of shattering? Somehow a 2 mil thick piece of tint can store enough heat energy to make this glass expand to the point it shatters?

How many folks have taken their cars through a car wash after its been sitting in the sun all day? Did any of the glass shatter from the sudden temp change?
