Not sure quit yet, I can split it into 2 pieces. Mabey split into 2 parts with a 1/32 endmill. This would allow me t fit into the precut opening. I can orientate the slip to avoid the BC pattern to maintain structural integrity. If it need to be sealed to the box I was thinking gorilla glue. Works really well on hair, possibly this application too? Sorry for the ****** joke there. HAHA. Not sure what are your thoughts?
you could put it inside the box. make it the last layer of the mounting surface

No reason to go through all that madness. Thread a set of hex drive inserts into the back side of the mounting surface before you do final assembly, they won't pull through. Then you just use machine screws to install the sub. s-l300.jpg

I have the JL stealthbox. 13.5.... down fire powered by RD900/5 signal from Kenwood.
Zero issues down fire. Extremely happy with it as I always am with JL products. I’ve had W6’ and W7’s as well. Just no room in the raptor for all that

Although I don't have it hooked up yet, this is what I'll be running.

I pulled the stock Sony subwoofer and bracket and put this in it's place. It just barely sticks out from under the seat. I have this mounted behind the passenger side of the back seat.

I just need to get the rest of the wires run, but I will just be using a line converter off the RR speaker to get me RCA outputs and using the stock MFT head unit.
