What does this sound like? I have a clunking coming from the front esp when I turn tight as if something is binding roughly. Not really so noticeable in the steering. Just a very ****** sound as if it comes up through torsion bars or something. Any thoughts, have about 115k on this gen 1.

When was the last time you rebuilt/replaced your shocks?

I think they require rebuilding ever 50k miles. I replaced mine at 75-80k miles and 1 front and 1 rear was blown. Lots of rattle/clunk prior to replacement. All good after…

I haven’t rebuilt or replaced since I got the truck. It has about 110k on it now. What is the easiest way to check for a blown shock? I mean the suspension seems norm as far as I can tell by ride, maybe a bit stiff. I got the truck this way but it got progressively worse. 1st time pickup truck owner so unfamiliar with how smooth this truck should ride.

I’d be pissed if I had this happen on a brand new, high-dollar specialty vehicle. Hope y’all get this sorted.

Sounds like sway bar links to me..

Just got a new 37 and I hear no noise. Just feel a little vibration down by the pedals at low speeds over small bumps. Honestly wouldn’t have noticed anything if I had not already read this thread in the past.
But what people have to realize is these trucks are noisy. Go watch some videos of raptors or even videos with the new bronco raptor, performance coils make noise. Always have. Kings do too. Go watch some videos with Wayalife off-roading his Jeeps with coils, noisy AF…. I have to think that’s part of the sound people are hearing…

Then how come some hear it & others don’t? I don’t hear or feel a damn thing…over any bump, at any speed. And believe me, I’ve tried just to see what others are experiencing and got nothing.

Many of us that are (complaining) if you will have owned previous gen raptors. My gen 2 made some consistent stable noise from the shocks definitely normal and livable. My gen 3 fells like it’s falling apart over frost heaves and cracks in the road.
