Switched to Bosch blades. No problems with chatter
My pet peeve was the Ford blades would pull one streak of water back across my line of vision after clearing the windshield of rain. Plus, the chatter.

Coatings often will affect auto wipers, as myself and others have found. Would not recommend it, personally. First coating is what started my problems to begin with.
What about not coating where the rain sensors is ?

Funny, I noticed the jumpy wipers after I started using Rain-x fluid. Stock blades, no coating or whatever.

For sure clean the windshield the best you can, vinegar or a light duty polish, but the biggest tip for wipers for me would be a jar or can of dry graphite. Apply a small amount of dry graphite to a disposable cloth and pinch the edge of a clean wiper blade in the pile of the dry graphite and wipe all along the edge. It is a cheap fix and will let all kinds of wipers work so much better.

I have noticed the studder as well and agree with the concencus that the issue started happening after waxing or coating the glass.. I guess it created some friction if not rubbed in perfectly and is dry. when heavy rain starts, the blades are fine but light rain makes them studder, maybe coaating helps the glass bead easier therefore making surface drier in light rain won a low setting.. my suggestion would be buying higher quality blades and making sure everything is 100% clean for starters. That's what I'll try.

Bosch Icon works for me. Sometimes I get streaking but it is usually because I have bugs on my window. But they don't stutter.

The stock wiper blades are horrible, they would stutter from day one. Replaced them with the Bosch ICON's and they are amazing.
