Stupid Things People Say About Raptors

I had a guy stop me in the parking lot at my job today and ask "Do those shocks come stock with that truck". I nodded my head in the affirmative to which he said "its about time Ford try to catch up to Chevy". I just drove off without saying a word. Some people shouldn't show their ignorance by opening their mouth!

I'm sorry but my daughter has been to Disney 4 times and she's 6. She's the most well behaved child I know. Entitlement comes from more than taking your child places. My parents had annual passes when I was a child and we went a lot. I grew up fine.

Adding I grew up we didn have much but my parent worked their asses off to provide for us. Kai knows that too. She started life growing up out of a car, and now she has a great dad and wonderful life. It irks me when people with no kids can pass generalizations like that.

Giving your kids things doesn't create entitlement. Teaching a work ethic avoids entitlement.

You're right CS, nothing is a sole factor and the Disney thing also depends on where you live. If it's down the road or you have a condo or time share there, that is obviously not as big of a deal as my friends shelling out to drive 17 hours, or fly, hotels etc.

And it's not about Disney at all, I'm sorry you took offense to that. It's about the feeling that they are not good parents unless they take them every year our one up the previous year to make it special, it's the I'm going to give them what I didn't have mentality that causes them to expect those things. Not all people of course as we've seen in this forum with some kids who were given raptors.

But if people want to look at the sense of entitlement you also have to look at where it comes from, which I've seen first hand with my niece and nephew (who've never been to Disney by the way, but why should they if their mom only made it to 7th grade, works two joba, etc) but they damn sure have some nice cars, go on vacations often and spend lots of money they don't have all in the name of, we couldn't do that when we were kids. It's sad really.

I'm sorry that my thoughts on entitlement irk you CS. But it irks me when people think those without kids are not allowed to have an opinion. Luckily my thoughts don't effect you or your kid at all nor do yours effect us or our future children. Its all good.. Don't get upset or take personal offense.

all reality ford did a good job making a truck thats a cross between a great street vehicle and a good off road truck. BUTTTT there is a reason a lot of guys are beefing up the suspension. 2 things i've wondered: one are the cast lowers really that strong>? they seem to be. 2 did ford do something to the airbag sensors to beef them up a bit for the raptor? seems like some jumps and landings I've seen would normally deploy airbags? big
question for me seeing that i have a 2011 reg cab stx i plan to get air with.
