yes, the SRS system has been toned down to begin with in the raptor to prevent activation of the air bags during most offroading, then off road mode turns it down a little more on top of that for when you really want to throw the hammer down, there's so much that off road mode does that nobody really talks about but it really makes it work so well

yea i know on my 06 i was just building the suspension and tripped the fuel pump switch. lol sounds like my 2011 might have some issues if i try to keep up with you raptor fellows. live and learn.

all reality ford did a good job making a truck thats a cross between a great street vehicle and a good off road truck. BUTTTT there is a reason a lot of guys are beefing up the suspension. 2 things i've wondered: one are the cast lowers really that strong>? they seem to be. 2 did ford do something to the airbag sensors to beef them up a bit for the raptor? seems like some jumps and landings I've seen would normally deploy airbags? big
question for me seeing that i have a 2011 reg cab stx i plan to get air with.

Yeah, if my airbags were going to deploy in ORM, they would have after the nose first landing where I destroyed my front bumper at the dunes couple weeks ago.

I think you'd have to have a RPG type crash or jump like 90 ft Raptor guy to get them to go off.

Luckily f-150s don't use a fuel shut off switch anymore, they use logic files in the control modules to determine if the vehicle has been in an accident then shuts down the fuel supply

Eh, maybe not, but there was a lot of that attitude in that thread. I understand it in reference to charity boy, but I hate being lumped in with some generalization of a lazy younger generation, and I think there's a few other "younger" members that would agree.

Alls i know is I work my ass off and budget carefully to buy my vehicles.. at 22 i bought a brand new G8 GT, at 24 i Bought my first Raptor, then 26 bought a Audi S4 and now at almost 27 going back to a Raptor. Im definetly not rich. Me and the wife work hard to have the stuff we have and any of you military guys know we definetly arent rich. Also helps that i made money on each of my trade-in's. And i also know i will not be trading in this raptor after i get it.
