I've never understood the obsession with having to park in a handicap spot in the first place. So it's after hours... So no one else is around... So what? If that's the case there is probably a non handicap spot only 15 feet further away from where you are going. Is the extra 30 feet going to kill ya or get you done and to your final destination any quicker? My guess is no on both counts.

Really kind of annoys me in the same way people will just leave their shopping cart randomly in the lot instead of putting it in a cart stall when they're done. It's like the height of extreme laziness! You just spent who knows how much time pushing it around the store loaded with god knows what and now that you've got everything all loaded up into your vehicle you don't have the energy/time to push the empty cart another 20 feet to properly put it away?

But I digress...

Sometimes people don't even have to say something stupid about a Raptor to make themselves look like an idiot... You ever pass by a truck with 3 guys in the front and see the middle guy rubber neck so hard he knocks the hat off the driver? I have.... hahaha :ROFLJest:
i dont mind the specific handicapped parking spots, but when they line up 5 of them, it gets annoying. costco parking lots are a perfect example. 25 handicapped spots and you only ever see 4 used at the most. and the special treatment handicapped people get at amusement parks drives me nuts. while we all stand in line waiting our turn for the ride, there goes someone in a wheelchair bypassing the line to the front. what the hell??? we are STANDING in line and they are SITTING in a chair the whole time going to the front of the line. /end rant. other than that, i have no problem. a couple of my friends are in wheelchairs, i give thrm shit about it, then when i want to go soewhere i always invite them......

back on topic, i had some guy come up and say "nice truck, you look like you take it offroad, but you should have gotten a raptor instead"

i ask why. he then tells me all about the raptor. at the end he asks me what kind of truck i have. i told him it was a raptor and promtply left because i did not want to have a 30 minute conversation with this guy.

he said it wasnt a raptor because it didnt have the side graphics on it. he was right when he said the raptor was the best offroad truck off the factory line, but he didnt know enough to be smart about it. i dont think he ever saw one in person before. he mentioned that the motor and suspension were the best parts of the truck. i agree but didnt want to get into a conversation trying to convince him my truck was a raptor

Dutch Notion about trucks ( generalisation )
- gas gusslers
- way to big
- no real usefullness
- crappy plastic interior ( fragile )
- high maintenence
- waste of money

How you guys experience it ?

Well if you live in a city, most of them are true :D
In Europe anything bigger than a sedan is outrageous..

People come to me telling they would never drive a GMC Savana/Chevy Van.
My answer always shuts them up: Not even when you're handicapped? (like me)

American truck owner's notion about people who think this way (again a generalization)

Miserable **** retentive ***** leading miserable boring lives thinking they know what's best for others while worrying about everyone but themselves and not really having any knowledge about trucks in in the first place.

-I'm doing a service consuming the fuel that the fuel sippers leave behind
-I feel much safer in truck than I would in a Mini
-Trucks are plenty useful to the adventurous and DIY types. Not so much for the effeminate metrosexuals
-I have no real complaints about anything other than the weather stripping. Fit and finish has been good with my previous trucks.
-All my trucks have been low maintenance
-All have retained their value better than most cars
