Strange noise! Need Help

So I just picked up a 2012 screw with the 6.2. I noticed a metallic rubbing sound coming from the drivers side front during acceleration. Has anyone else had something like that happen? If so what was it? I thought maybe it was the intake whistling but checked it and didn't find anything out of the ordinary. Any help would be great!

mine was a vacuum leak. it only did it when i was on the gas pedal. somehow the tire rubbed a hole in the hose. after a quick trip to home depot for some rubber tube and a joint connector, everything went back to normal

I will have to check for the vacuum leak on the hose. I haven't had a chance to really test out the 4 wheel drive yet so I am not sure. I hope it is a simple hose fix that would be cheap and easy

Pull the vacuum line off of the IWE (plug the line). See if the noise goes away or not.

go to a flat parking lot, put it in neutral, 2wd, crank the wheel to the left so you can see the cv axle, and give the truck a roll from the front left. if the cv is spinning, you have a leak. If not, I say pads.
