So while washing my truck yesterday I spotted something out of place behind the IC grill. It was loose and big enough to interfere with the active shutters so I popped off the panel and found a battery powered inclinometer.

Any idea what this is from, my guess is from the build process. Still works and aside from a little bit of corrosion on the magnets it seems like a fine addition to my tool box. And while I didnt "break" any of the clips the panel isnt rock solid anymore like it was before removal.

I heard when the new truck is born, they hang it by its rear bumper and spank the lug nuts. The inclinometer is purely for documentation purposes for the birth certificate.

sorry... poor shot at humor

How many miles on your truck when new? Probably factory testing or from transportation??

I’m gonna go look in mine now.

I found loads of rubber bands, windshield wiper key ways on the cowl, some accessories in the glove box and behind the rear seat, Manila and a key. But no meter so far :(
