What's the consequence from the rubbing? It's not constant is it? Only at full lock and while aired down?

True. I got the impression from Brad at ICON that it will rub regardless even if aired down, just doing that would make it worse of course. And yes at full lock like a U-turn or such from what I understand. I don't make too many u-turns in my normal course of driving.

I just don't like the idea of rubbing at all and having to make a conscious effort to remember as I am sure it will come back to me rather quickly when I feel it rubbing. :)

I was more concerned when off-roading and perhaps making a hard turn. Perhaps only put on the spacers when doing that kind of activity and otherwise don't use them?

The ReadyLift ucas that I installed do not rub with the stock wheel and tire setup. Take a look at my install thread. I will add a link when I get to a computer.
Here is the link to my install:
http://www.fordraptorforum.com/f9/readylift-ucas-tie-rods-35633/

I don't think readylift's are adjustable? Is ICON and SVC the only adjustable without removing UCA's out there?
The ReadyLift UCAs are not adjustable. I don't see how the Icons could be adjustable with out removing them.

I have heard that the ReadyLift product was designed to work with the stock rims but I have yet to confirm that.
I have them and have seen no issues with rubbing of any sort.

Thanks, I started reading through your install.

You do NOT have to remove the ICON UCA to make adjustments. Here is their write up:
"Unique to no other Raptor Upper Control Arm on the market to have on vehicle adjustable rod ends to allow for easy alignment adjustment in minutes not hours. That means no taking the arms on and off to adjust them you simply loosen the pinch bolts, adjust to your liking, and re-tighten the pinch bolts"

At the uniball, the ICON's do not rub either. I noticed in your write-up, you are looking at that distance (being .25"). How close is it on the arms with yours when you turn the wheel fully locked in either direction?

I would have to measure, but the closest point of contact to the tire / wheel is the uniball cup at any steering position.

The 1/4" spacer on stock wheels, with Goodyear Duratrac tires did not clear the uniball cup enough. I had rubbing on the cup during normal driving.

A narrower / less knobby sidewall tire might be OK with the 1/4" spacer.

I have SVC UCAs

so let me understand this. You just slip this over the wheel bolts and then mount on your wheel? Will you have issues with the wheel nut not grabbing enough thread?

Ok, I hear over and over again if you are going to do spacers, get some good quality ones. I think I might of found from my search one of the better ones while I wait for SVC to see what they come up with. It is Rough Country. I've heard of it but never purchased anything. Is there something better out there or does this one look pretty darn good?

That's correct.
The studs on the hub are long enough for a thin spacer. The issue is the hub centric wheel is now NOT using the hub to transfer forces. Everything will be through the studs. This is the main reason they are bad and can cause breaking issues.

However, I think @svc is making a hub centric spacer to address this issue.

alot of guys run methods which are not hubcentric and the studs don't break so I really don't see a diff.
