Stock Raptor hitch is very weak

Reading the thread it definitely sounds like a Gen2 problem. I’ve been towing a fully loaded 2 horse trailer up and down the East Coast to shows for four years with my 2010 Gen1 and never had a problem.

And neither does any other Gen 2 owner. How did you conclude it's a general gen 2 issue after reading a single thread with a single person reporting he bent his hitch? I'll help you out, you only have two options really.

1) Bias confirmation
2) You're dumb enough to believe a sample size of one equates to a design defect across and entire generation of F150s.

My 2019 hitch receiver appears to be angled down even though not towed yet. Bent? no, not put weight on it yet but absolutely angled down.

What year Raptor do you own? Sorry I don't see it in your signature.

Just FYI if you plan on towing 5000# or more you might want to get a class 4 hitch.

If you plan on towing 5000# or more, use the hitch in weight-distributing mode.

The standard integrated hitch has two ratings depending on mode of operation:
• Weight-carrying mode requires a draw bar and hitch ball. The draw bar supports all the vertical tongue load of the trailer.
• Weight-distributing mode requires an aftermarket weight-distributing system, which includes draw bar, hitch ball, spring bars and snap-up brackets. This system distributes the vertical tongue load of the trailer between the truck and the trailer.

For both SCAB and SCREW maximum tongue load for weight-carrying mode is 500 lb / 226 kg.

Why do you continue to call everyone who doesn’t agree with you aggressive? I haven’t called anyone dumb, I gave one person the option of being dumb. I’ll give you that same option.
