Thanks Dominic. I knew I could count on you for input. I’d love to find that thread on the F-150 forum. I’ll try it first and if it doesn’t work I’ll ask Moni if he could do the same for me. If not I can always sell it for $4-500.
I’ll go read up on the mini-dip now. I’d love to hear your setup on a Saturday your not busy. I know everyone has been really busy lately. Myself included. Building a new house and my truck hasn’t even shown up yet. ETA is March 30th as of now. I need to order the Zen and the MK V’s when they come back in stock. I need to hit you up for your dimensions of your box and just build one my self. The only thing I don’t have that I think I’ll need is a router.
I saw you pushing Morels on DIY also. What model number mids do you have? I was thinking Utopia M’s at first and then I started chatting with a buddy of mine. Bing from Simplicity in Sound and he was pushing me towards the Audio Frog GB25’s in my A-pillars.
He was talking to me about the Gladden 6.5” midbass, but from all the reviews of the AF GB60 I may pick up a set of those for a 3 way.
Thanks man

Moni begins talking about the Audison issue at post #121 https://www.f150forum.com/f30/zen-a2b-b-o-stereo-integration-416294/index13/#post5820373
Happy to help out in any way.
In regard to speakers, I was initially running some morel raw midbass in the door, then switched the morel mw6 all while maintaining the Virtus tweeter and mid.
I wanted more midbass so I decided to move to an 8” midbass. I went with the AudioDevlopment w800 Neo. No modification needed. Mobile toys built me some awesome speaker adapters. These things are beastly. Love their sound.
Now that I had a larger midbass, I needed to lower the crossover point of my midrange in the pillar. The problem is the morel cdm600 mid is its a domed mid which is more like an oversized tweeter than a true mid range driver. I currently have in possession AudioFrog GB10/GB25 and Stereo Integrity m25 and m3 mids.
Because the morel tweeters and mids are so shallow, mobile toys is building me a new set of a-pillars to fit the depth of the GB25 and M3 mids. But we are designing them to be able to interchange audiofrog with the stereo integrity so I can swap/audition both sets if I want to.
I am going to compete in my first SQ competition in April so I will more than likely use the AudioFrogs. My thought process is, I don’t mind have a wide selection of speakers available to me for testing. This hobby is about fun lol.
A few things solidified my decision for AudioFrog:
1. They have countless exceptional reviews from enthusiasts of all walks of the car audio community.
2. Their specs are backed up and proven by essentially lab grade audio testing by third parties and DIYMA members. People win competitions with them and their specs are not exaggerated.
3. Andy Wehmeyer, the ceo, is truly a wealth of knowledge. He is a genius when it comes to speaker design and his customer service is second to none. I called audiofrog to ask a question about the gb25 and he answered the phone. Just a fascinating guy to talk to and had a perfect answer for every question I asked.
I am all about pure performance but sometimes that comes at the cost of other things like customer service or aesthetics. The AudioFrog GB series is the combination of all three of those categories and they deliver beautifully.
I imagine I’ll have the audiofrogs installed mid March.
If I was you and you wanted to pull out all the stops and avoid spending a dumb amount of money speakers (lol) go audiofrog gb10/gb25/gb60, some MKV’s, fully sound deadening treatment, and some solid tuning, are you will be positioned for an absolutely amazing sounding system. Top of the top. I guarantee it.
In the meantime, I am happy to let you listen to what I have now. I’ve received awesome feedback from different installers in the area but since it is my creation and all hand built by me, I am extremely subjective and biased that it’s not there yet lol.
Let me know when you are free, we could knock a box out in a day. I’ve got all the tools you would need at your disposal and amp happy to help with whatever else!
