I think this "Whats in the Box" listing is leading to the confusion. It has a 4-Channel Amp, and a Sub Amp listed. This is what really peaked my interest... hoping that they had a plug and play solution to avoid the additional components needed to amplify the doors and tweets. However when you read through the description, it doesn't mention the 4-Channel Amp. Without the 4-Channel Amp, the "package" value isn't there and the amplified mids/highs aren't there.

What's in the Box
  • (2) Woofers
  • (2) Tweeters
  • (2) Crossovers
  • (2) Two-Way Speakers (Two Tweeters and Two Woofers)
  • (1) Four-Channel Amplifier
  • (1) Subwoofer
  • (1) Subwoofer Amplifier
  • (1) Wiring Harness
  • (2) Grilles
  • (2) Mounting Brackets
  • (4) Flush Mount Brackets
  • Mounting Hardware

Rockford said nothing about b&o integration at CES or knowledge fest so unfortunately, if an amp is being provided in this package, the zen a2b will be required.

But a speaker upgrade and adding a sub will make a tremendous difference in itself. I would just go that route. Since you don’t need the speaker amp, upgrade the Morel Maximo to the morel temp ultras and you will have an awesome sounding truck!

Are you recommending the 5 channel amp for the possibility of powering the mids and highs later?

In this config... we would only be powering the sub... correct? What amp would be good for powering the JL sub box.

AudioControl ACM-1.300 $250.00 Perfect for that sub and super compact. Designed to accept high level input from the B&O amp. Has accubass built in if you need it.

I am looking to do something similar....what size med are you using? Do both speakers clear the factory grill?? Thanks man!

2 ways will sound fine and agree the adapter to convert the factory door hole is easy. Way more quality choices in the 6.5 form factor. Actually 3 ways fit fine with no door panel modifications as well. Here’s a pic on my 3 ways going in. Tweeters just went in the factory pillar location. Truck looks stock once done. With subs behind the seat vs under it you can’t even tell it has a system by looking at it.d7793920fc4645d1e67ba4324355440c.jpg

They are the Blam Audio Signature 3 ways with 6.5" driver, 3" midrange and 3/4" tweeter. All fit behind the factory grills / a-pillar.
