just took some pics. the stock pan slopes up at the rear. as long as the deep pan just goes deep at the center portion to follow the original pan and slopes up at the rear you should be ok.
If you are going to run it hard, run the starter wrap. Melted the solder out of the solenoid on mine running flat out across the Laguna Salida Lakebed outside of Mexicali, Baja. It can get hot down there and the clearance to the starter is not that much. Coated headers help too.

Dough! I messed it up. The curved piece connects straight to the drivers header and curves under the trans.
