Not to pick the scabs off to start the bleeding but after investing an ass load of time reading this very enlightening thread I feel compelled to add some comments.
Thank you for an informative thread. Always keep a log of calls and emails and whether you left messages or who you spoke to. This not only gives you ammo, it makes your story more credible. I went through something similar with my Pedders suspension on my B class Camaro. (off topic) sorry. I had a ton of what I'll affectionately call "fanboyz" that flamed my ass because I was the only one with issues. My point is this. Don't pile on the person or persons that are making claims. Especially if you are a mod. It's ******* bullying and ********. It serves no good except to make them take an even more defensive position therefore degrading the constructive point of the thread. OK, I'm done with the thread police. I truly hope this will regain some momentum. It needs to continue through the process for the good of us all here. Carry on. Please. :)

Get your springs re-arched, asap. This has been my best 'mod' to date. Wow, what a huge difference in performance.

First, a little backstory: I bought National SDs as part of the RPG 4+ package when my truck was brand new, so I didn't really have a good basis for testing vs stock. The truck did ride better on the street than stock but from day 1 w/ the Nationals, my truck has always sagged a little. It was noticeable but not terrible looking. I emailed Cory about some additional mods I was interested in and also asked about the sag, the donkey kick, and whether or not I should add in another leaf or what the deal was.

No response until a week later when he forwarded my email to an employee. A couple days after emailing back & forth, this thread popped up so I asked if my sagging was normal. RPG had me measure the rear. For reference I was 24.75" drive side and 25.75" passenger. They agreed this was low and because my springs were basically brand new, said they'd like to send me a replacement. Then they went silent.

I sent a couple emails & voicemails trying to figure out if new springs were coming. No response for a couple weeks. Finally, I emailed Corey again. He was quick to respond this time and we got on a call to discuss some options. He was at this point offering to work with me at this point to get the problem fixed. But I just decided I don't want to jump through anymore hoops and my truck needs to be fixed. The donkey kicking was pretty bad at this point.

I've been happy with how well the other RPG products have performed. However, I will probably never buy from RPG again. When one of the LED light bars that I bought from LGE/CTS stopped working and I emailed them, they literally responded within 5 minutes and said they'd handle it, no questions asked. I had a tracking number for a replacement that same day....

Fast forward to today: I got my springs re-arched for a little over $400 which included labor and parts (new leaf, u-bolt, all other hardware). The guy at the spring shop did say that the Nationals are a soft spring and will sag over time but agreed that it shouldn't have happened this quickly, let alone day of install. Told me they installed a little bit firmer leaf in there and it will make a big difference. Overall he said they ended up raising the truck about 2-2.5" in the back. I now have an ever so slight face-down-ass-up look, but it's not bad and I like it better than the sag.

As soon as I sat in my truck I could tell a huge difference. I even had to adjust the tilt on my seat. On the road, I immediately noticed the difference. The truck was much smoother over bumps at all speeds and tracked tighter in the corners. I imagine this is what my truck was intended to ride like from the beginning.

The real test was how it would handle off road and let me tell you it's night and day difference. I went back to a trail I frequent often and run extremely hard/fast. It's a 3 mile straight in the desert with bumps, jumps, whoops, etc etc. And since I was just there a couple days before donkey kicking over every little bump, I figured it would be the best test. I ran my truck faster than normal and it was damn near flawless. It soaked up all of the bumps that normally send my tail end way up in the air. Only once did it slightly kick in the rear and it's a bump that would make just about anything kick up.

Long story short- This has been the most improved and noticeable change that I've made. If you are having problems with sagging or donkey kicking, I recommend getting your springs re-arched immediately.

What are the torque values for the deaver leaf springs and u-bolts?
