Actually the leafs were loose inside the pack. The difference is indescribable. I don't recall my truck ever driving as it does now. So smooth

The stock U bolt is suppose to be torqued to 100 ft lbs (or "to yield" as they say in the service manual). RPG says to torque theirs to 100 ft lbs as well. I torqued the Deaver U bolts to 100 ft lbs and wound up shearing one. So I went to these guys and got what I needed.

Grade 5 Leaf Spring U Bolts, Grade 8 Leaf Spring UBolts, Round UBolts, Square U-Bolts, and Semi-round U Bolts-AutoandTruckSprings.com

Ive got the RPG Stage 2 setup. I went with the 5/8" x 9 1/2" Grade 8 U bolt kit. They are still torqued to 100 ft lbs. So no worries when it comes to keeping my rear end attached.

I know the RPG U bolt is a 9/16". I believe the U bolt provided by Deaver is also a 9/16".

Now comes the money question. How will they maintain that ride quality?
I believe I speak for many on that.
Thanks for sharing Huck

Deaver attached a decal on the leaf with their required torque.

I agree time will tell how the deavers hold up.

I can honestly say neither national offering has performed the way the deavers have out of the box. I am much happier from a start and hope the performance lasts

The sticker on the springs only referred to the ubolts and I had no idea which ones came with the springs. No information on the torque rate for the springs though. I assume I got them somewhere between 80-120 ft/lbs. I didn't have a socket to put on the torque wrench. Only a wrench. I will post a review of the Deaver +2 soon and should help some users compare deaver +2 vs +3 from your review Huck
