For what its worth, I'm going to speak on the Pedal Commander.
I drove my new Raptor for roughly six months before getting the Pedal Commander. That thing adds so much ******* "whatever" to the engine that I cant keep it anywhere near its maximum setting. As a matter of fact I only go to SPORT +1 (SPORT PLUS @ +4 is ridiculous. Tires chirping at all speeds. Very difficult to drive smoothly at all.) and thats when I'm driving alone. When my wife is riding with me, its within the first 5 minutes that she asks me to turn it off because its so jumpy.

My point isn't that I'm a ***** for letting my wife dictate the "mode" I keep my truck in. My point is that when I switch it back to "stock" it feels like a totally different vehicle. I feel like I'm mashing my foot down on a complete pillowy, marshmallow-like gas pedal with no response. Is crazy how fast that devise makes it. The thing is so slow without it that I've almost misjudged scooting across intersections, or shooting through a yellow light.

My "daily drivers"...
2011 E92 M3 with every bolt-on short of a supercharger.
2017 Shelby GT350 w/whipple supercharger.
2018 Audi SQ5 (my wife's) obviously its slower than those two, but it still moves, dig?

IMO, the new Raptor is really quick (sports car quick) with the Pedal Commander, and relatively slow without it.

*No, I don't work for PC
**I also had/still have the original 2010 6.2 Raptor, (Bone stock. ZERO mods.)
and the new 2017 SMOKES it...With/without a PC.

Hopefully you just misspoke.

Surely you are not trying to suggest that the PC makes the truck quicker, as in faster 0-60 times.

I think he’s proving that the “slowness” is an illusion. PC doesn’t add any more hp, but it makes it does make it feel much faster.

This is my point from earlier: the illusion of speed is based on your own experiences. If you have always driven ordinary pickups or the typical sporty sedan, the stock Raptor seems fast. If you have driven modern sports car for any length of time, the Raptor seems slower. (Which I believe was the original question of this thread)

Well I’ll admit i was expecting more when i first got the truck on the acceleration front. I have a Mustang Terminator as my other car so the truck felt sluggish. I bought a JMS pedal Max and leave it set at 100%. It made a big difference in the acceleration feel. I then also added a JB4 which ups the boost some. I can say it now feels like i thought it should have felt from the factory. Very happy now and have no desire for further mods.

The question is about sport car owners/drivers "perception" of speed and acceleration...not how fast (or slow) a Raptor is...
And here's the truth: ALL Lifted trucks seem slower then their lower car counterparts..PERIOD!
Take a car guy out in any lifted fast truck and then in a fast car and even if both vehicles run the identical 0-60 times, he will always say the car is faster if he doen't know how fast it really ran...

The lower you are to the ground, the faster the perception of speed will always be...

When guys guys have tested/reviewed the Raptor they go by their perception, not the actual speed or acceleration...

Everything is relative. I have yet to take delivery but I already know what my answer will be. Slow compared to a real performance car. Apples and Oranges.

I do plan to make a few performance changes 6-8 months into ownership so I can at least get my soon to be scab into the 4s to 60 but for me and the way cars are going these days... That is average. And not only is it average but the truck will fall off quickly where as the cars will pull longer.

Doesn't skew results, other than adds +1-2 seconds on all the times.

As of currently, I believe the fastest stock truck is the 3.3L Ecoboost F150 (that, or the 2.7). They make less power, but also don't have to turn 35 inch all-terrains.

When the 19 Limited arrives, it will likely be the fastest, since it will make the same power and be lighter than the Raptor. That is unless they do some tweaking to the 19 Raptor engine.

I could be wrong but there is not a faster pickup made 0-60 stock from the factory.

Now in 2019 the Limited with the same motor will probably beat it.

GMC Denali with a 6.2 V8 is a dog compared to it.

Compared to a real sports car. Well....
