FWIW - it’s an adaptive tranny, I’m not 100% certain on this, but it seems based on my experience the more you drive in sport mode the more it “smooths out” - I’ve been using it a lot more lately, and I do know what you guys are saying about holding gears too long or harsh abrupt shifts, but keep in mind you’re the one asking the truck to change shift & throttle parameters.....so you may wanna think about changing YOUR throttle inputs via the right foot- I can get sport mode to feel almost identical to normal if I make an effort to adjust on my end.
Until I get tuned I’d rather be a little light on the throttle in tactic just leaving it in sport Mode so that when I want sharper response & more aggressive shifts (and keep the auto start/stop function off) all I need to do is stomp on it
