Yes bought the same light, but with out red sides. Yes, Mine came stamped DOT SAE.


I have heard the smoked tails, might NOT be DOT Compliant.

When you say without red sides, what do you mean? Did you have the "red smoked" lights?

I had a set of smoked red. Frankly they just looked like a dark maroon color. Good light held up well. No one is going to come out with a very dark color due to tons of risk issues.

Do you have pictures? A dark red/maroon is what I'm looking for.

At first I was thinking maybe the Spyder knock off's which are supposedly made by the same company. But I don't like the silver reflector that you can see from the rear of those. I really like these Spec-D's, they seem a lot more dark, almost back like I want without the tint/smoke that will get me in trouble.

That was my thought exactly and if you have HID headlights these match almost exactly to the inside of the headlights. Wasn't a fan of the chrome stripe on the other ones but hey that's why there's options.

Got my two other resistors ordered today! They should be here in a few days... Can someone or anyone post up pics of how you mounted them? There's two per side and they're not the smallest so I'm interested to see what people have done.

Just shove them in the holes it's fine. I literally dropped em in.

Actually if you get the smoked or black Spyders that silver reflector your talking about no longer looks silver due to the dark color of the lens. The Spyder "black" is black in color but the lens at the lights actually is clear.
