Quick question, I see the install kits come with the studs, gaskets, and nuts. I am cheap and going to source the parts through Tasca instead of paying $95 for something I can get for $70. But my thinking is I don't need to buy the nuts (W520514-S440) as they should be able to be reused without issue. The studs and gaskets on the other hand I will replace.

Anyone reuse the nuts on their install of the adapters?

Also, I've already proclaimed I am cheap. We can skip the "Why are you worried about $50 when you bought a 70k truck?!"

We used the nuts so it was all shiny - looks brand new (the whole reason to do it) it looks stock..

Also - get the stud puller, a little liquid wrench and that tool makes a huge difference

Gotcha. I am just going to order the nuts and gaskets and see what condition they come out when I get them removed. If they are still good, I will reuse them and return the others. Thanks.

no need to explain. I come from a long in distinguished line of redneck cheapskates.

I’ll step out on a limb and suggest you’ve gone this route before. I’m glad this works for someone, because when I do it, exactly 1 critical part gets bollixed in the process, completely halting the mod and preventing a successful back out of the mod. I usually spend a little extra for spares so that when this happens to me, I’m insulated from the very frustrating and progress halting problem.

good luck !

Haha, apparently I heeded your advice 1 minute before you posted. Ya, just going to have it on hand in case I need it and return it if I end up not.
