SPD Adapter Install Vent

What would Ford say if you brought these plates in for installation?

They be like..

Man that makes me seriously nervous to get the adapters...

I wouldnt worry too much. There is always a statistical anomaly. Since i have that covered on the Murphy's Law events, you should be good!

This is exhaust work, don't ya'll have a good exhaust shop around you? Like Meineke? Those guys are used to dealing with removing manifold bolts and shit...
That being said, I'm going to do this myself just for some self inflicted torture.

Meineke? Yeah got that. But since they had quoted me 340 for weld in muffler, I blacklisted them for being greedy!
Other muffler shop straight said "no".

Here are my anticipation,excitement and disappointment photos! Quite a range of emotions in that time!




Don't understand why no one can take my money. Going to see if a resource can find a shop for a last try. If not, then I'll have to get over my aversion to fire and follow a tested saying; "If you want something done right...."

Go out and get the o Reilly's stud Extractor. It will work. It will destroy the studs but it will work. The one they sent you will not even budge them. Hand it to the exhaust shop and tell them to tighten the mother ****** on there then heat it up and lay carnage.

They will come out.

Titan 16023 - Stud Extractor | O'Reilly Auto Parts

I installed mine today. SPD now inlcudes the Titan stud extractor with the install kit. All went smoothly. It is just hard working around the down pipes. Took me about 6 hours start to finish. Had to loosen the exhaust clamps all the way back to the muffler to pull the downpipes back and somewhat out of the way.

Butt dyno says there is either a slight diffence in spool up or nothing at all. I dont regret doing it. Maybe I will see more feom a Ford Performance or Roush tune with the adaptors installed. Hopefully a tune will be out soon.
