Yeah I’m just referring to it by the friendly name l that’s the per cylinder counter , there is a combined total counter also.

Gotcha, we're on the same page then.

I posted a pic of the new 2020 rom filename. If you need the rom I can send you it also.

I need to get my hands back on a VCM II. Great info for sure, much appreciated!

After trying several ford plugs such as sp578 , sp542 and no resolve , NGK 6510’s are a winner and resolved this odd pinging at 5000rpm that would occur sometimes.

Make sure to gap at 0.028 as they come out of the box at 0.041~ and be very careful with the iridium tip. No more pinging and a noticeable upper end increase in pull.

@Crunchtime2k,
Did you exhibit the noise the op posted in his video?

I did , exactly , what I have found is small gaps of 0.025-0.028 help a ton to reduce misfires that do occur in the background in small numbers but nowhere near enough to trip a trouble light or code, they are there on most 3.5 ecoboost especially when higher boost levels , check your mode6 data. That spark knock noise still occurs rarely under a perfect set of conditions for me at wot on the upper rpm range not every time but at least one a day. I have seen it on 3 raptors so far. It seems systemic and more prevalent on tuned raptors also.

I have a 2018 stage 2 Cobb w/FMIC and have had the same sound in mine. It’s been frustrating for me. I think I will buy some new plugs and see if that fixes mine. Trucks never thrown a code and I have yet to monitor knock sensors. Hope the plugs will fix it!

Had the plugs replaced on mine, it didn’t make a difference. Doesn’t matter what kind of fuel I put in it, it does seem like it’s worse with chillier weather as crazy as that sounds
