Confirmed! It's a Done deal!

Title transfer from the dealer he got the Raptor from is in process (The raptor was a trade in at Koon in MD). An eta of 9-18 is predicted for him to have the title in hand. We will then go forward with the no $ exchanged trade.
The Raptor is just a truck to him, while the Firehawk will be his poor mans Corvette until he builds his dealership business into a more profitable enterprise.
The deal was more about building realtionships rather than making $ to him...
Talk about good luck and good timing!!:worship:

First on the list will be replacing all fluids, including flushing the brake fluid with my motive bleeder. Have the adapter on order from Walmart.
Need some sort of hand pump to get the new trans fluid in there after the drain and filter replacement. Any recommendations?

Spark plugs (and wires?) and serpentine belt/tensioner/idler pulleys (Rockauto has a gates kit) will be done as well as we are approaching 100k miles.

From there, the pass side CV joint/axle will be replaced (boot torn), then I will start on cleaning out as much rust as possible in the rockers and cab corners and applying fluid film to slow down the rust process until next year.

Front seat upholstery will wait until I'm done making a mess with the rocker panel/cab corner replacements.

I have both mig and tig welders. I will give the tig a go but will do some practice first as I've never done horizontal tig before... only flat.

Very excited that this finally went through and glad to be part of the Raptor community.
I will post updates of my progress. I'd guess I should start a project thread??

Any suggestions or recommendations welcome and appreciated.

Sigh... still waiting but I believe (hope?) the title will arrive this week and the trade will then move forward...
I have a pile of oils, lubes, filters, and parts including cv axle, plugs, wires, a morimoto third brake light, spicer rear diff cover with drains, led kits for mirror puddle lights and turn signals, Fuse 27 relocation kit and some other stuff ready to go.

Update: Just got a text from the salesguy, saying the dealership owner will be calling me later today for an update. I take that as they may have the title and we can do the deal this week. I know one should never assume, but I think/hope we are getting close.

Ruh Roh.

if owner is calling you, it’s not good news. be wary.
No Worries... Iv'e had the chance to get to know him very well and he's a stand-up dude.
He is very excited about getting my Firehawk in the trade and plans on keeping her to enjoy rather than flipping it for a profit right away.

He doesn't let his salesguy pass on important information... he does it himself so it's either news that he has the title, or he's still waiting and wants to assure me we will do the trade as soon as he has the title in hand.

It seems to be a very complicated title transfer as she traded hands multiple times over the last few months, the final being a payoff to the last dealership that had her(Koons).

btw:. Great Gif! Watched the original Scooby Doo for years growing up.
