Something horrible just happened....

So I wait 9 damn months for the raptor, with all the screw ups by the dealer and ford I finally get it last night. Finished up all the mods I bought 9 months ago including a 5 star intake. I take it for a test drive here in Illinois and just demolish a deer at 65 mph. Well it looks like Im gonna need new fender, grill bumper and front license plate.......I cant believe this....I think im gonna barf.

Oh dam. I'm sorry to hear that. Throw a real bumper on that thing so next time the deer becomes a speedbump. Or lets hope there is never a next time. Best of luck.

Maybe think about taking some of that money for the bumper and getting one of the offerings by SDHQ, ADD or Wicked so that next time the deer doesn't stand a chance.

I lived in Washington state growing up and we had to deal with big ass elk on the road just about every night so I kind of know what that's like. Big ass bumpers were essential equipment for sure.

Dude, I'm so sorry to hear this. That absolutely blows. Sounds like the motorcycle accident I had back in '98 on my first test ride after putting on a new pipe. The bike was a complete loss and I was in the hospital for a few days. Glad all of you are alright and the truck is fixable. Here's hoping the insurance claim goes smoother than the dealership act. If you need to vent, just come on back. We're here for ya.

This is horrible. Sorry you had to experience that. Like F16 said, hopefully insurance will work out better than your dealership dealings. Glad you're alright and just be glad it's the truck and not a loved one. Good luck and best wishes.

In illinois too, land of the political corruption. I hate those horned forrest rats. So far, I've only hit one, but i'm still young-ish. Sorry to hear about your encounter with the deer. Where abouts are you at?
