So we got my Father-in-Law a Polaris Ranger last year to tool around the farm. He decided he had to have the plexiglass windshield when it got cold so we added that in the winter.

I don't know what the hell he used to clean it this summer but it's basically ruined with scratches. Irritates me to no end everytime I drive it now. Since I have some Meguiars Polish in the garage, I'm trying this tonight. Nothing to lose.

One of those headlight restoration kits might work better on something that large.

basically you wet sanded it

No, glaze is like an oily substance that enhances shine and fills in light scratches. It is basically hiding the scratches, not removing them like wet sanding.

That looks really good Bird. It will be interesting to hear how well the fix wears.

I hit it with some glass cleaner afterwards and it didn't dull at all. I'm sure I will have to do it once in a while when the glaze wears off.

On an area that large just bust out the 6" random orbital polisher with a foam pad. Let me know...

Clear fingernail polish work's with miner scratch but you defiantly don't want to get carried away with it. Don't use the brush it came with to big.

sit sounds like you got an acrylic rather than a polycarbonate. acrylic (plexiglass) scratches much easier, but is easier to repair. polycarbonate (lexan) is more scratch resistant, but harder to finish and repair.

Well it looks better but definately not as good as Birdman's. I may try it again today.

I was to nervous to use my orbital buffer. This thing is pretty flimsy.
