Ford engineering is superior. Look what ford has done.. now look what Dodge has done.. wait I mean RAM.. literally no comparison.
This x1000 im in the industry, sell metal to the big 3 (& then some) Ford is way ahead of Fist Chrysler ram Stellanatis Daimler whatever they’re called now. It’s not worth a discussion or 12 pages of of it for that matter. It’s facts.

I’d like to see that engine rebuild invoice with all the parts they changed. No way they would rebuild a whole engine. They would just replace it. I love the TRX, and the raptor. I don’t even care about that you just seem like a liar and I’m curious if you have an invoice to prove you’re story.

This post is for anyone who is on the fence. Last week I got rid of my Gen 2. And honestly I couldn’t be happier.

The engine was straight garbage, rebuilt under warranty 3 times. Sounded like shit. My backpack blower sounded better honestly. And when i put an AWE exhaust on it it just sounded like a loud *************. That 10 spd transmission is by far the worst part of the truck. Constantly shifting. Never in the right gear.

Honestly I couldn’t be happier to be in my new 2022 TRX. Its everything the Gen 2 should have been if ford didnt bend to the will of the overlords and put that ***** 3.5 in the gen 2.

If you’re on the fence, ditch your raptor and order a TRX before the order banks close. It literally better in every category. The only thing I miss is the keypad on the door. Maybe the BFGs. Thats it.

So this is just a PSA. Stop lying to yourself about the 3.5 and get a real truck before theyre gone
The TRX engine is great. It's just that all that HP is not necessary off road. I'd take it if it was available but don't miss it at all.
The TRX fuel mileage is so bad it gets worse mpg unladen than I get with my fully loaded out overland rig.
The TRX transmission is very good.
You are factually wrong about the 3.5/10sp combo. SImply factually wrong...your personal example aside. Sad you had to stoop
The TRX sound is awesome while Raptor sucks for sure
Dodge/Fiat/Ram or whatever it's called today sucked money from Obama's nipple at tax payer expense and went bankrupt at least twice in it's history. The overall unreliability and horrible quality is rivaled only by Chevy depending on the day...no thank you
Ford was confident enough in their truck to run it in the BAJA 1000 and complete the course within the race time...then they drove it home. When Ram earns that kind of cred maybe you talk some smack until then it's a powerful mall crawler and that's about it. Those are just facts.

Everyone likes something and for you it's a powerful untested mall crawler that exists only because American tax payers bailed them out and subsidized it's existence in the first place. I wouldn't trade my 3.5/10sp for the Dodge powertrain unless you paid me to do it however I do like powerful V8s...just don't need a mall crawler.

I also just switched from a 2nd Gen to the TRX and I would say that @Vintabu points are pretty spot on. Original plan was to wait for the R but it looked like if it ever does come out it's going to be hard to get. So far I'm glad I did. About the only thing I'm going to miss from the Raptor is the tailgate step.

Yes, I have a gen2 and have run it high speed in the deserts of S AZ, Sonora and Baja Mexico. Additionally, I pull a 19 ft Airstream with it with a fully loaded bed (dirt bikes etc) and have never had a problem. The dealership has been hugely proactive in reaching out for any recall that might affect the engine and drive train. I couldn’t be happier with my gen2.
So you think the Gen2 is a better Truck than the TRX?
