I’m not sure why so many people think the R is slow. I think it’s a beast for a full cab pickup. I only drive it in 4A and R mode all the time. You can break loose all 4 wheels any time at a light dry or wet. I drove the regular Raptor and it’s not even close . I get 11.1 mpg and I’m fine with it. Understand it’s not as nibble as a 911, M3 or any sports car. I can’t be happier with mine. Maybe if I add a new Whipple SC.
Wtf 11.1 mpg? Your R deserves better..I keep telling y'all it gets better when you're in single digit mileage. Someone confiscate his supercharger.

Not sure what's worse, double digit R mileage or 35>37. Smh..

5.7mpg in 115.8 miles for this tank.

So buy 35s. What's the problem?
You and the rest failed to grasp “for different reasons”, but see below:

My statement on 35’s was toward Ford and allowing those who desire 35’s elect that as a delivered option.

How many of you, with a snark remark, actually use or ever need 37’s? Maybe to stroke an ego. The truck would be all it is but even better with 35’s, greater agility, clearance & efficiency. This is my 6th Raptor, simply a tool, not my ‘boasting token’. The 35’s on an ecoboost Raptor can manage well beyond majority of the competition, with 37’s+

What are the other reasons?
a) Truck sounds like an Ecoboost on steroids. Still has a rasp tone at WOT which is atypical to a V8 (my opinion). Yes, I understand I probably have an exhaust leak, this issue may clear once I bring to first service. I hope.

b) Ford provided nominal upgrades (vs. Ecoboost) for the flagship option & its price point. Threw in what should been a TT 5.2, but did an inefficient SC 5.2, along with new wheels & tacky aesthetics, nothing great on the grand scheme, in respect to quality & features when side by side to an ecoboost.

c) Wait until you’re passed up by a $45K Hyundai in your $114k & 720hp truck on the interstate once you quickly meet 113. Save the argument, I know the 37’s are speed limited, and the instability of them up top is absolutely significant. Another reason for 35’s. Maybe I navigate the dry west too frequent and love cruising at 120 in my Swiss Army knife.

Case in my point is your buying a red R logo & to say you own a V8 with 700hp+ (or your bank for those who finance). if you love yours great, but not what this thread is about. I don’t hate Ford or the Raptor which is why I’ll return to an Ecoboost power plant, tune (when that’s back on again), and be the poor guy next to you R holders :)

Aesthetics only, I think 40 > 37 >35.

It fills in the big ass wheel well better and smaller tires look disproportionate to me.

37s are more forgiving to the mistakes I make on the trail as well.

I'm always impressed with how fast the 3.5 is when next to a 5.2.

To each their own.

Id want the 35s just from a parking garage standpoint using the raptor as a DD. Sometimes the practical reasons outweigh off road upgrades...unfortunately.

LOL I don’t have an R. I never wanted one. I was annoyed with Ford for spending development money on it instead using it to improve the base model. All I was doing was asking the obvious stupid question. I’m sorry Ford doesn’t offer OEM 35s on the R. That’s quite the hurdle. Definitely a deal killer.
