My screenshots are from using my Samsung Galaxy S8. I have yet to get it to work on my Pixel 7, assuming I just need to wait for the AA 8.8.x update from Google. From what I read, it should be for any Android phone once you get to 8.8.x (and have sync 3.5.3 or later), which has that Coolwalk feature to extend the screen for one app.

Lucky. Hoping its a regional update since I am only a few miles from Newport. Then again with my luck since I bought it out of state, will be the reason mine is delayed. =P

I got my truck on the east coast. You will most likely get it. Otherwise the dealer can push it out I'm sure. The main factor is that hopefully people will not have to pay for something that is free through ford. I think I read in the thread that someone had to pay the dealer $175 for the update.

My truck was connected to wifi since day one and received one update last year around Oct. I don't know how they roll these updates out.

Word on the f150gen14 forums is that they push out over cellular. Same way your ford pass works. If you get a low battery warnings, chances are the install attempt has occured

that make sense...couple weeks ago i couldn't remote start my my truck from either the app or key. But truck turned on manually. Drove to my work place and then got a message on ford pass about an 1 hr later saying "going into deep sleep mode to preserve battery." Couldn't get the truck to start and had to be jumped.

It’s so funny you are saying this. The full screen CarPlay update hit the truck last Thursday. I go to start the truck a few days later (she’s not a daily driver) bam, I get the weird infamous thud from the speakers, won’t start. Threw my Noco on it, started right up. But now, my lights don’t turn on when I approach the truck, and I get save battery message on my screen when I turn it off. Never had an issue for a year. Taking it in tomorrow for them to swap my battery.

You don’t need to. Just drive it for 30 min or something and should be fine. What you described happened to me as well.
