That's fair--it was better in sport.
I was reading the thread and first thing I thought, did you try it in Baja or Sport mode via the dial to eliminate this issue? I was underwhelmed when I first got mine, it felt sluggish, slow to respond at most speeds and thought maybe I made a mistake. I didn't know about the dial modes and just punched buttons like an idiot changing settings on the steering wheel for a week until I turned the dial and got it in sport mode. Again; my opinion, in sport it it is fine, holds rpms the right way, responsive on the throttle and if you really want to feel the power use the paddle shifters in baja mode. Thats incredible, along with holding the rpms in the 5k range is where the power is for sure. Best of luck with the new truck, looks similar to my R (well except the awful graphics on the back ;) )

Agree with ? The 2023 rims on the Raptor V6 with the 37 P.P. or the 2023 Raptor R are the absolute "FRIGGING" best, even if you wanted to give me the right offset and either 9" or 9.5" Vossen HFX wheels, I'd tell you to keep them, hands down, but a set of half (1/2) inch six (6) lug aluminum spacers is the ticket, your wheels & tires don't stick out past your fender flares, and I luv the stance it brings, from any angle, north, south, east or west.

I can’t believe they gave you 125 for the R and that much below msrp. Awful deal for that dealer.
I think dealers are struggling to sell 37 packages without discounting them. 94k for an eco Raptor is a hard sell when 35 Raptors are 81k.

I wonder if some of it is related to the Raptor's transmission. I own and drive many manual cars, so I'm very in tune with being in wrong gear. In my 2024 Raptor, it often stays in high gears. While pressing the throttle prompts a downshift, there’s still a momentary sense of lacking power. I wonder if this issue is the same in the R, since it has the same transmission.

Drive it in Sport.

I know what the OP means. I was always happy with the R but the throttle did feel sluggish in the low end. I added a pedal commander/monster and that changed the whole truck. Set my R button for sport mode and tweaked the throttle response with that device and in some settings it just breaks the tires loose with a tap of the throttle. So I turned it down a bit and found the setting that makes it feel perfectly peppy stop light to stop light.

I totally agree with you regarding the lack of color selection. I went to the dealership to order an "R" and ended up not ordering anything due to the lack of color choices. The General Manager said that perhaps they'll be coming out with something new mid-year. If I'm going to spend 6 figures for a pickup truck, I want something that I really like. In the interim, my Code Orange 37 is really easy to live with.
I also agree with you regarding the lack of color selection. When I bought my 23 37 package I felt like I was ordering the best of the worst colors, in that case I fell in love with the code orange. Fast forward, just got my 24 R Shelter Green - having a hard time warming up to the color. One of my daughters said it looked like diarrhea. Been parked and hiding in my garage ever since and driving my 23.
