Plasti Dip does not hold up well to physical damage. Hope you did twice the recommended coats in case you need to remove.

I've used it on my old Raptor on the fenders and it held up for year with branched scraping it and rocks hitting it.
I used 5 to 7 coats, it can't just be a couple of coats.

Did you leave the roof black? It looks wrapped now, lol.

You need to tint that third brake light and black out the skid.

Yes I left the roof black and yes it's just like being wrapped. The plan is to tint the 3rd and tail lights like my old truck plus the skid.

Decided to DIP the truck for a bit of protection on trails.
I'm really liking it.
Dip Your Car was running 20% off so pulled the trigger on the "Performance Series" dip. Color is "Dude Blue"
A lot of work but man she came out nice.

I have always wondered how you would dry your truck after washing it. Seems the towels would stick, or with this stuff, you just let it air dry?

It'll do ok. I dipped my fenders and skid plate until I can get them Line-xed. Had a couple scratches go through but not damage the paint, and it was easy enough to touch up.

I'm actually considering taking the dip off the fenders because my MF wash mitt hangs up on it, and they are kind of hard to get clean even using a rubber drying pad (as recommended by DYC).

I admit that my Raptors are the only trucks I have owned that look good when they are dirty...

However, I do like to clean them up from time to time and I would miss being able to make them look shiny again!

But not so wet that it runs. I also used a spray wax that's from DYC and it makes it feel much smoother and resist staining as well.

So that's what I did wrong. I noticed it was 'patchy' in that it seemed to have parts that were darker and lighter, but I assumed it was from the humidity. The skid plate was smooth but not the fenders.

The lighter and darker color would bug the crap out of me. Imagine that on your whole $70K truck and not being able to clean it!

He was very brave to do it on his truck, but it is not for me...
