The truck will pick it up when you change the tires. Might take a bit (up to 50 miles) but it'll do it.

No, it won't pick up the 5th one in the spare position. Would have been better if it monitored the spare too.

As others have said, you'll need to get it balanced too.

Couldn't tell you that. I picked up the Ford one from Amazon (cheapest place I could find it). Had the local tire shop install and balance.

Ah, but the question is, are all TPM equal? does it have to be a Ford one or is the signal universal?

no. there are two different frequencies that Ford has used on Raptors. You will want the person working on the truck to figure out which you have. I thought I had one frequency based on build date and it turned out that I had the older frequency.

I’d reconsider using that dealership. Every F-150 has a “full size” spare that has a fully functional tire and the Raptor is no different, except that you get a matching wheel. If he didn’t know/couldn’t tell, what else do they not know?
