So, the Spare is a poser?

After going riding on my SxS and loading it into my trailer, I pulled out of parking spot and didn’t see a huge boulder. Thankfully it was only my wheel that hit it. Gave it some nice battle scars/gouges.

Truck is in for oil change and tire rotation and I figured I’d swap that wheel with the spare.

Dealer tells me the spare tire/wheel, while the same in appearance, is a limited use wheel and tire combo and also has no TPM.

Is that right? Why did I think it was an identical wheel to the others? Cause I’m a dope?

Dealer is partially right. No TPM. Other than that it is the same as the rest. You can move the TPM to it from the damaged tire or buy a new TPM.

They said they dropped it down and that’s what it says. I mean really, are they going to lie about that? Maybe in 2020 Ford cheaped out?

So just found this thread. Apparently the dealer was fooled by a sticker on it, which is on it due to no tpms.

Not surprised the dealer gets fooled, I have had keys lost at the dealer before.
