So much for significantly undercutting the trx msrp

Do you happen to have a picture/example comparing the different headlights of the two packages? I cant seem to find an example anywhere.

I have been wondering what my truck might bring. I know I will get flamed for this but I have my $100 preorder for a Tesla cybertruck and im wondering if I am better off selling my Rap now while prices are kinda high and just drive my shitbox for a year or two or if I just want to keep my rap until I actually see Tesla making them. I got a '18 802a screw with 45k miles carbon fiber pkg, no moon roof. Picked it up in Jan of 2020 for 54k and felt like that was a decent deal at the time.
I have a 2018 802A with 41,000 miles and was offered $62500 by one of the on-line dealerships with nothing more than an internet inquiry. That's significantly more than I paid for it.

I wholeheartedly agree with the thoughts around price.... may as well buy a TRX since price point is so close.
Also, I am still amazed that people think that their "trade value" or "market value" is "awesome" right now. That is just poor financial insight. Let's say you trade in at that high value. You will be buying something at MSRP (or more!)..... where is the deal in that? Remember, when the government prints money and gives it out for free, everything goes up in price.
There are still deals out there though. Just sold my car to Carvana and bought a prepared F150 - Bought the F150 $1,500 below Mannheim black book.

Just have to keep an eye out. Plus if you have a ton of equity in your current vehicle, financially it could make sense for people to take their money off their trade in and finance the new ride with more trade equity, lower their payment, and hope there isn’t a major shift in values for a little while longer.

I’m a bit disappointed with price of gen3
2020 screw 800a package was 58k plus 3.5K for 801a
2021 starts at 66k plus 6.5k for 801a.
That’s a huge price increase for baseically the same drivetrain and arguably same if not worse exterior design.
Gen2 model was always considered a value compared to the competition. My scab 800a msrp was 54k and made it a great deal compared to what you get with the gladiator and the rebel. I definitely can’t say the same for gen3. The v6 base comes too close to the trx base price for what is missing at the heart with a v8 and 200 less HP.
At 60k base price I had no question in my mind that I’d pick the gen3 base over trx and happily live with the v6 and easily justify the 12k gap. But at a mere 6k or the price of 801 package now the trx seems like a deal too good to pass.
Annnnnd this is why I bought a trx and sold my gen 2

The guy is clearly trolling. I should not have responded. I suspect that none of the people threatening to buy a TRX over a Raptor will ever buy either one ...
I bought a trx over then gen3. Sold my gen2, not trolling but I just had so so many issues with my gen2 that I'd never buy another 3.5 in a raptor

I have 2 Cybertruckks on hold with the $100. The mid and the high and want to see them making them first.

just wait until you experience that awesome Chrysler uh I mean RAM quality....
FCA dealership experience is seriously lacking, and one of the few reasons why I am hesitant to buy the TRX. It is appealing, RAM makes THE nicest truck interior among all truck makers. Wish I could trust the service departments, because as with all new vehicles (FCA especially), there will be recalls, TSB’s, and specific work that will be needed that only the dealer can perform.

I Had a wrangler, 2020. 3 recalls, 2 TSB’s, 3 warranty issues. Experiences with three different dealers in the area, all below average. And never trusted them with my vehicle.

And for those that may chime in saying Ford isn’t much better - try and test the waters. Go buy an FCA vehicle. You’ll see what I mean and then agree any Ford service is better than FCA.

Used Raptor prices are up 10k, guy complains that the new ones will be more than the old ones.

Come'on Man! I tell you what, when I sell my '18 in 2 years with 120k miles, it will probably be worth what it is now. If we look back to 2019 values for my truck, it is close to the same now, even bumping 70k miles. Of course, in 2 years, a loaf of bread will be $10, gallon of gas probably the same.

Apparently sitting on the sidelines waiting for a cheap Raptor is a losing proposition. He who hesitates, mast*******. You know the thing.
