Has anyone ordered a 2014 from a souther California dealer near invoice price? Also once you order do you have to pay for the whole price upfront or at delivery?

Buy far the best experience I've had buying a truck
I put a $500 deposit down on my credit card over an email. Didnt have to sign any paperwork until the day it came in. In fact I didn't even walk into the dealership till the day I picked it up. Nicole emailed me a dozen or so times keeping me updated without me once having to ask her where the truck was, she was more than on top of it.

I would think you would put a refundable deposit down with your order. Plus I would suggest get everything in writing as well.
On issue, I have seen appear, is if Ford Motor changes the price of the truck prior to your truck being built. The dealer will want to pass any price increase onto you as the customer.
So if possible, try to take as much open ended items off the table in writing. For example, if your truck is not built by x date, will you be able to get your deposit back and get out of the contact. If the price increases over what you were quoted, will you be able to get your deposit back.
Try to iron out any possible unknowns before you "sign on the dotted line".
Just my $.02 of what I would do.

I just ordered one last week scheduled for a November delivery.
Just an FYI... It's gonna be closer to MSRP on the 14's but you won't get the run around and no bs on your build/delivery timing.
