I lead the snoball and the prerun with stock tires for what its worth. Are they great? No but its not like you need to replace your tires just for the Snoball.

I just had the feeling that they clogged way too fast. I know from experience on a buds truck how they clog fast in mud but in snow same thing.
With my aggresive tires i could keep a slower place on a higher gear. With the stocks looked like you need to push the throttle a bit harder to make em grip

My issue with the tires wasn't specific for snoball - it's for my daily commute. They don't grip well so when I pull out onto the highway I use 4wd just for traction because I don't have time to sit and spin. They were fine for the run.

To get back to the mode we drove in, I don't like ORM for the same reasons as Blue and Huck. I personally prefer to run in Tow/Haul mode. It raises the shift points and holds the gear longer. I turned the ESC off and would often pull it into 1st or 2nd to keep my RPM where I wanted them.

I cream corn wrestled the guy that is putting this on. It'll be in Michigan, and maybe Wisconsin!!!!!!!!!!!

<---- Black sheep so far

I love ORM, I could drive all day long in it.
I did most of the trip in Manual mode, with TC in sport or off. I purposefully did not lock the rear differential, unless I could see dirt or knew I was approaching a hole or rut where articulation could be maxed out.

And I ran Goodyear Duratracs

I know the guy who puts it together pretty well. I can say 100% its going to be in Michigan.

i know that guy too! but i wouldnt trust him tho.....

on the trails i had ORM on, trac set to sport and the rear locked. had lots of fun on corners!

i thought my BFG's worked great on the snoball. i didnt get stuck once, didnt really get close, but i did get sucked outta the ruts a couple times and was able to muscle my way back in. i even found a boulder on the side of a trail the one night, was on the inside of a corner.... hit that bitch HAAAAAAARD!!!! threw the truck to left and bounced up when i hit it, but zero damage!

I did all of snoball with the stock bfg's had no issues, granted i was behind alex for most of the trip. I thought they perfromed well.

Minimal sliding, and i wasnt dogging it around either. We were getting after it.

It will be in michigan next year, same weekend. I know the guy who puts it together.

For a Wisconsin-ite that watched from the sidelines ordering his truck and seeing the posted pictures, I am so happy to hear about this topic again and know it's looking like it's going to happen again. While my sidelines were technically me sitting in Las Vegas (gotta love Vegas!!), it drove me nuts not having a Raptor plus having the Snoball going on. Next year, I'm all there!! Only a couple hours from home makes this so much better and no excuse to go! I love summer, but can't wait for winter just for the Snoball!!!
