My truck is completely stock and I had no problems. A couple weeks after the snoball I did some more winter running and got a little stuck but turning off the nannies completely made it all better.

Basically when I got stuck I was in hard snow which hung me up on the frame. However, with nannies off the truck has enough power to dig down and pull through. Nannies on and it spins trying to find traction without digging down through the snow.

I hate offroad mode, as I like to control my power and OFM seems too linear, its better suited to rock crawling.

Most folks ran without traction control as it is not your friend in offroad/snow conditions.

When your slipping, TC cuts power which is the worst thing for you in these situations as Power is what gets you moving/out of the shit.

You'll be fine, after 30 minutes or so, you will feel more confident in your ability and the trucks capabilites.

nannies would be, traction control, etc. Offroad mode changes throttle input, and lets the truck get more sideways before it starts to correct it, also allows you to lock the rear.

Edit to address Blue's post.

I am in the same boat and do not use offroad mode unless i want the rear locked. It doesnt allow 6th gear unless you manually shift into it, and slows you down some.

Not a fan here.
