Big Blue and Huck are right on - I was referring to the traction control. However I do like to play around with offroad mode. It changes the shift points making the engine rev a little higher and I've used it when powering thru the deep snow. Plus I just love the sound of the engine at about 3k...not high enough to make it scream just enough of a growl to make me smile.

On the roads up here there's regularly 12"+ of snow and when I got stuck offroad I was in a good 2' of solid snow - not drifts. Plus it had warmed up a touch a couple days earlier so the top 4" or so was hardened and hung up the truck.

you might want to change your tires.... the stock bfg's suck.
other than that power thru and youll be fine.

at last years snowball there wasnt a whole lot of deep deep powder to rip on. i broke a trail in 2wd rear locked at 8 psi and the deepest was half up to myy 37s

youll be fine. theres like 50 other trucks to pull you out

True. Stock tires suck. I'm due for new ones before winter hits...so in about 6 weeks. :p

I won't be going aggressive like you, Netix. I followed you to Copper Harbor and watched yours throw up snow like crazy. Then again that would be handy for those people who like to drive too close.

I did all of snoball with the stock bfg's had no issues, granted i was behind alex for most of the trip. I thought they perfromed well.

Minimal sliding, and i wasnt dogging it around either. We were getting after it.

It will be in michigan next year, same weekend. I know the guy who puts it together.
