How do you pee on your windshield mounted light bar?

Two cans of Monster and the proper Geometry.

I always put in low temp fluid but stupid dealer here topped mine off with water before I could stop them. So I have already started running it down so I can get as much out before I put back on proper washer fluid.

I also recommend swapping out your wipers if they are getting old. Fresh wipers that are winter rated make a huge diffrence when you need them.

GLRE recommends no one use a hand held radio due to the limited range unless used with an external antenna mount.



A 50W+ radio with appropriate antenna is much more useful.

Okay just bought a used ICOM F5021 with Antenna. Guess I am setup now for communicating and hope not to get lost.

Snoball Prep Tip: Rear Facing Ambers

They are a Required item this year. They allow the truck behind you to see you in snow/white-out situations.

I have seen lots of guys unsure of how to do this add-on. Many truck may have no light bar or other viable solution for mounting. Some guys may not want a permanent install either.

What I did below is an option for you. Took 1 hour to fabricate and cost is less than $75. It's removal in less than a minute and its puts out approximately 3,300 lumens of Amber light (Just KCs).

Items list: (3 KC Amber Cyclones, 3 metal 90 degree brackets, Wiring/Cigarette lighter adapter, 5 nuts and bolts)



Put together bracket like this and bolt with 2 bolts.



Optional (Paint black if your OCD like me)



Add the 3 Cyclones with remaining bolts/nuts.



Wire the 3 Cyclones together and splice into Cigarette lighter plug in adapter (You can get these at Radio Shack). Be sure to shrink wrap all connections and zip tie together to keep everything in place.



Now Zip tie completed light bar on to the posts of your middle rear seat headrest.



Re-install headrest and run wire down seat and plug into rear 12V cigarette plug.

View from outside (ON), slider open.



View from behind (ON), rear slider window closed.



Done:

2 Whelen Vertex and 3 KC Cyclones.




Please Note: Your rear facing Ambers should be solid ON, not blinking or flashing. Flashing lights can be very distracting for the driver behind you.
