So it sounds like I most likely need to put some type of film over my lights to be anything other than white?

Probably. Unless you're willing to paint them. Just let the stuff dry normally instead of trying to cook it with the lights on...

Depends where in your group you are. If your in the middle it's not nearly as important cause you'll just blind the guy In front of you.

You'll spend more time following their tail lights

I tried to avoid being that close to the guys in front of me.

I just don't like white light for snow.

Another more temporary option for tinting is to go buy lexan from Home Depot, paint it with polycarbonte paint whichever tint you want, then just sort of tack it in place with a few dabs of clear RTV silicone. It should be good enough to stay for the run(especially since there's not a ton of bouncing for this) and easily removable after.

It's the route we're going to take for the lights on Dad's truck, and if I had lights made by someone that wasn't me, is the route I would go too.

Tamiya PS-42 is Transparent Yellow and PS-43 is Transparent Orange. You should be able to find it at any hobby shop that sells RC Cars.

Want something temporary as I would remove it after Snoball. I didn't think LED's light bars would get hot enough to melt the film?

Thanks Mike!!
Going to order blue and amber right now!

Here's a pic I found for ya;

The cover on the top is an Amber Rigid Cover

The two below it are Rigid Clear covers with that Amazon Amber film...Not perfect, but for $8, it works well and you will have plenty left over.
