Just got mine and installed. Driving to Chicago tomorrow so will get about 6-7 hours of test time. Just driving around town, though, this thing is AWESOME!!!!

I've spent the last 30 years driving 50k miles + a year and I am convinced that some of my shoulder problems are a result of trying to get comfortable while behind the wheel. If this thing works as good on a long drive as it does in town, then I'm a believer!!!

I will give an update tomorrow night after traveling all day, but so far, I would have paid someone $50 to make my truck this comfortable just in town.

More reviews to come.........

I also installed mine just a few days ago and it is comfortable driving with it. But I am not a fan of using it to pull the door shut. Does not feel sturdy compared to the door. I think I will be leaving mine only to use when driving long distances and not day to day driving. Also it does make getting to the window controls a little weird when you arm is resting on it. Maybe a 1/2 shorter would have been a little better in that sense.

Exactly. Great for long trips no doubt. Just couldn't get into a habit of removing it when stopping and putting back in, back and forth. Perhaps he has made the base bigger so it fits more snug. I just hope they eventually come out with one that can utilize the armrest bolt.

OK. So for my semi-long trip review. 7 hours driving. 500+ miles. Hwy & city:

I made myself drive like I normally did. But when I felt like putting my left arm down to rest it, it would land right on the SnapRest - nice and comfy. I would then realize that I could ease all the way back in the seat and just........relax while driving with my left hand.

Got in and out of the truck several times throughout the day and, each time, I never even thought twice about grabbing the handle and giving it a pull to close the door. The SnapRest never moved.

The only down side is that I'm going to have to get the center console cover and padding added in the near future. It is woefully inadequate in stock form now.......

Thanks @SnapRest.com !!!

So the other day when I was getting gas. I got all done and jump in the truck, making real sure the door didn't hit the concrete pillar that they all tend to put by gas pumps for safety when I opened the door. Once in, grabbed the handle (now being the snaprest) to close the door and wham! the stupid thing came out and my door slammed against the concrete pillar.

Nice scratch on the outside of my door. :rage:

Thanks @SnapRest.com!

Poor bastard and his soon to be scratched up door!

The Duke Boys would not have a problem with their door getting scratched. You should have entered/exit through the window.

Might I suggest - The Door Detent - Door Detent 3.0 by northlight labs | Now F-150 Doors Open Just Right

Maybe this makes the perfect combo, wait the door detent is sold as a pair....:ROFLJest:
