Test-fitting 1-1/4" brace & 1-1/2" bushing sizes for the bed stiffeners. I couldn't find 1-1/4" bushings and didn't want to use 1-1/2" for the diagonal brace, so this is the solution. Just wanted to be sure it didn't look janky.

So i did the county fair mud drags over the last two days..

Finished first and second in both classes i entered thursday, with another first and second on friday.. overall $825 in payouts, with $100 in entry fees..

pretty fun time, but what isnt going to be fun is the clean up...

the only casualties ive seen so far was a weathertech mid flap is gone and both the rear ones pulled the upper screws thru.. i guess i can afford a new set..

i sprayed the whole underside with WD40 in a chem sprayer, and that helped it fall off quite a bit, but you know how it goes...

^^Beautiful. Gen 1's don't get "dirty", they just Glow.

Over on my planet, another 11lbs of weld wire got used up last week. I refilled the big 150lb argon bottle in June, and just picked up (2) 11lb spools of .024 & .030 ER70S mig wire and tips. Currently, I'm finishing up the Raptor bed braces, building a custom 3'WX5L'x10'H scaffolding and a heavy 5' wide steel workstand. Then, the custom bumpstop mounts & contact pads. It's nice to be retired!

its a 19 gen2 supercab bro..

i like the morimoto markers... BUT... they are also prone to failure..

however, the price of all 7 is the around the same as 1 OEM light that will fail at the same rate..

morimoto has a 3 year warranty.. i suspect that might be changing, being 3 years in and on my 3rd set..

they are quick about sending new ones..

i couldnt get the ford dealer who installed them under bumper to bumper to take care of one front one that was out under the 12/12 parts warranty..

so i went morimoto and never looked back. its like a spring time thing to put all new ones in under warranty..

i spent 75 minutes in the self serve car wash earlier..

got 90% of the big stuff off, and also filled my trash can half way with what fell off in the garage..

you haven't heard of my brilliant plan to make parts last:

Drive 600mi the day after Christmas to purchase it from a stranger (after a 2min test drive); get it home, drive it for 10 days, then disassemble it for 2-1/2 years.

Following this regimen also guarantees I won't get a speeding ticket, either.

Well that’s one way to keep it clean!
