Curious @Jimbo did they make you pay the fine on the spot? Few years ago a buddy got stopped in Wisconsin and the State Police officer asked for payment. Even offered to take credit card. Sounded very fishy but he showed me the ticket and credit card receipt. Cop reduced his speed on the ticket too. Good luck, hope you are able to work it out.

Once laser goes off, you're ****** anyway... which is why I'll likely never invest in a radar detector.
I use an ****** system with shifters; I just love the puzzled look of a cop as he shakes is laser gun :)
Once, I cam down some long sweeping turns out of Oregon in to California, a cop pulled me over, all he said was " once my laser locked on it indicated 85mph, here is your ticked for 85mph"; all I said was "Thank you Sir"

No, I'm sure it would have been an option if the court appearance wasn't required.

As a word of caution, it's really not a good idea to use the shifters and jam the gun all the way. It's best to slow down to the speed limit and then tap any button on the 9500ci control pad once at the legal speed. This way the cop gets a reading at or below the speed limit and doesn't know you have shifters installed. Folks jamming guns while speeding through Irving, TX are the reason why jammers were outlawed statewide.
