This past weekend my family stayed in Leavenworth, Wa so my daughter and I took a trip out icicle road into the back country to get out of the city. Makes you realize how beautyful this state really is!

I'll have to look that road up, how long is it?

Icicle road starts off in Leavenworth, it is the first road that intersects 2 when coming into town from the west. It started off plowed in town then where nf-112 intersects icicle rd it was unplowed and that is also where icicle rd turns into 76. We drove all the way to johnny creek before turning around maybe about 8" of 2 day old snow and ice on the road. I wanted to keep driving but my Lo was with me and it was close to dinner time so we headed back. The views were breathtaking!
I am thinking about setting up a snow wheeling run up near Snoqualmie this season. Just a single day trip leave in the morning comeback in the afternoon. Since I am new to the pnw I have nobody to get info on where to go other then a few random jeep sites that have made runs up tinkham rd and the nf roads around there. I don't have to much free time between being dad and working hence the single day close to home trip. Let me know if you have any interest I will most likely start a thread in the pnw section to get the ball rolling.
