Shop I took it to seems like the type to have a reclaimer.. at least you'd think so.

Imma talk to them and see what all has to come out. So far, I'm Leaning towards trans rebuild or reman
I’d say you will be better off and have less to worry about with that new motor. Maybe you can have some upgrades done to the trans too.

Thinking about it in my little head, why would you need to pull the tranny out with the motor? You can unbolt the tranny while everything is in the truck, even if you are pulling the motor out with a hoist, regardless, it is probably safer to do tranny work while you are at it. I vote reman unless you are going to upgrade, but I haven't heard of anybody really having to upgrade their tranny's unless they go with a Livernois motor that is also S/C. I know most put a different drive shaft in. Anyway not trying to start a debate.

Did you find a motor yet? You have your truck at a shop already without a motor?
It's at the shop the insurance co. Took it too for the burnt wiring and when the shop discovered the reason for the fire they just told me to basically have a nice day with the motor. Seems they only want to deplace a motor if it is theft or in a wreck.. so here I am. Trucks at the shop, motor still in it, and I get a couple a wiring harnesses replaced. Just start looking for a motor I suppose.

Me, I would leave the tranny alone and just pull the motor. The tranny seems like it will last a long time. Just replace it when you do the next motor swap in another 100k. :D

All that is to say, you know the current tranny works, I wouldn't spend money on another one, unless you rebuild it yourself, you are rolling the dice to an extent.

So there are no builders specializing in any 6.2 offerings anymore? Or something that’s not of an exotic build? Would have to believe quality stock remains should be had. What do you really want?

I guess since Ford can't even deliver 2021 Raptors, how are they suppose to produce more 6.2 motors. There is definitely a market for these motors, I can't believe there isn't at least a drop in replacement besides 20k from Livernois.
