My weak link 5.4 out drags a 6.2 in the sand. Just needs a cam, supercharger, and long tubes and it will be insane.

I am sure it does..... You may have taken a few, but it wasn't cause your 5.4 is faster, I can gauran f-n tee you that. You may have came upon a raptor driver who was unsure or unaware of how to use the superior power of the 6.2L. I am sorry bud, numbers do not lie. Again, not saying it didn't happen, but it was defiannatley not cause the 5.4L is faster or more powerfull in anyway.

its called real world testing. And it was against WSI, wheela, and yukon joe.
And, if im not mistaken, Ironman has video of his 5.4 beating down the 6.2s up at silver lake. Numbers aren't everything. With 100hp over me, not only should I loose, it should not even be close.

I said the same thing.

On the street, 5.4 vs 6.2 , its a joke, not even worth it, 6.2 all day. In the sand (I will at this point only say sand, because i outran you at TRR 012 Cody), if a 5.4 gets a good launch, and the 6.2 is on 37s, the 5.4 May win or be tied....

well if you add all the variables to it that means zilch. If all things being equal, same tires, same cab configuration, same BPM mods (or no BPM) mods, the 6.2 is going to win, sand or not. Come on man, I know you 5.4L guys got hosed by Ford big time, and all of you have 6.2L envy (poke poke, obviously I kid) but if everyother variable on the trucks is the same you know the 6.2 is superior. Thats why I say do something different pick up an old navigator engine or something and whipple that. They are more affordable than the Shelby engines and can make some great power and would make the upltimate Raptor powerplant.

All things being equal, the 5.4 (in the sand, in the sand!!!) Will take or pretty much tie a 6.2. The 5.4 can hook up better, and the 5.4 will launch on you, it will take everything to catch it. I was saying the same thing, about it not being able to beat the 6.2. The only truck that consistently beat Codys 5.4 was a tuned 6.2. And it wasn't by no means destroying it.

Sell the 5.4l and get a 6.2l with LT's/Supercharger.

Plus you might be able to get one with the new cool features like super bullet proof atomb bomb resistant frame!!!

So wait, the less powerful 5.4 is quicker than the 6.2 in real world testing even with a 100hp deficit. So in order to make the 5.4 even more powerfully insanely quick, HP is desired via supercharger, headers, and bump sticks.... If numbers aren't everything, then why go thru the trouble of trying to add more? The irony is thick in this thread...



Gotta agree with J-train, if you really wanna do it right, ditch the 3v sohc for a 4v dohc.
